Using White

Manga is known for using black. However, white is just as important. Here are some of its uses:

-correcting mistakes

-making strands of hair

-the shine in a person’s eyes

Here are what I currently use to make white. Not pictured is my white gel pen, which I use for final touches.

Here is me fixing up the borders on the page. I occasionally went over.

I accidentally did a sound effect in the wrong direction, so I brushed some Deleter White over it. It has a similar consistency to the whiteout, but took several layers to fully mask it.

I hope this post was informative in any way. If you know of other places where white is used in manga, please tell me so I can add it. Thank you.
